The 2016-2017 NFL season has given Giants fans the urge to salsa dance as the return of Victor Cruz has finally become a reality. It has been almost two years since the wide receiver has played a game with big blue and he is excited to show fans that he is the same player he once was. On October 12th, 2014 in a game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Cruz suffered a torn patellar tendon after landing awkwardly after a play. Fans including myself were torn to see such a talented athlete leave the game for so long. Since his debut against the Dallas Cowboys on September 11th, 2016 the Victor Cruz we have missed has finally returned and once again making the game saving plays he is known for. His first game back with big blue was unforgettable as he caught a game winning touchdown pass putting the Giants in the lead over Dallas 20-19 with just over six minutes left on the clock in the fourth quarter. Cruz has had a good start to the season and has made it known that he is still in the game with 11 receptions and 195 yards receiving. He has great receivers to work with this year whether it’s OBJ or Sterling Shepard to help relieve the load. If there is one thing we should expect from Victor Cruz this year, it’s some more salsa dancing!
